Seeking the Creative: Jenny Harrison, Culinary Artist
How would you describe your art in three words?
I would describe my pancake art as Unexpected, Magical, and Delicious!
Jenny Harrison takes your ordinary breakfast to a whole new level with her pancake creations. The culinary artist from Mission Viejo, California, crafts edible images that look just like drawings onto the typical morning treat, making the experience even more fun! Jenny has been working with pancake art for 4 years now, and her career has taken her worldwide. Customers can receive a pancake with their favorite character, or even an image of their face. The artist gathers her inspiration from the minds of her customers, and her delivery never disappoints. She plans to continue this line of work and create delicious pieces of art that audiences can consume in the best ways!
Where/how do you gather inspiration?
During Pancake Parties, it is up to my clients to decide what they want Pancaked. I love being surprised by their requests, and I find the interaction very inspiring.
What do you hope audiences retain from your work?
My goal is to spread joy and make memories. The Pancakes aren’t meant to last forever, but the excitement of the flip should be a memory that lasts a lifetime!
