Seeking the Creative: Aiden Paez, Painter
How would you describe your art in three words?
Muted, simplistic, calming.
From Woodland Hills, California, Aiden Paez has created a portfolio of paintings that reflect the beauty in simplicity. The 14 year old artist has developed an appreciation for his “muted color palette,” as he put it, and paints with the intention of creating a peaceful image for his audiences. Whether he captures the snowy steps of a brick building, or a farm field on a foggy day, the young painter transforms serene everyday visuals into an aesthetic piece of art. Partnered with promising talent, Aiden creates with purpose and drive. He hopes his artwork will one day amount to a career path for himself. For now, he finds joy in commissioning pieces that will emotionally engage his lucky audiences.
Where/how do you gather inspiration?
My inspiration comes from various places since I create my own art and also do commission work from images provided by my clients. I am drawn to landscapes, seascapes, homes and definitely fur babies, but I enjoy putting my own spin with my muted palette. I am also inspired by various artist that I speak about in my Bio.
What do you hope audiences retain from your work?
With my commissions it’s the feeling that a painting can hold and capture a memory and emotion, and with my originals I am drawn to a feeling that my painting takes you away somewhere else.
