How would you describe your art in three words?

Bold, honest, spontaneous.

A great photographer knows no limits and is not afraid to take risks, and Thaler Bishop exemplifies such a photographer. The young artist from Harvard, Massachusetts developed their passion for photography when they received their first camera at the age of 7 years old. Since then, Thaler has always had a camera on them, finding inspiration everywhere, in the most unique of realms. Their portfolio is impressively diverse, from intimate black and white portraits to vibrant and beautiful landscapes. Thaler loves the idea of exploring the world, hoping to one day pursue travel photography or perhaps following a prominent artist on tour. Wherever Thaler goes, with a camera in hand, breathtaking visuals that capture the most beautiful moments are promised.

Where/how do you gather inspiration?

I take my camera pretty much everywhere I go, and if I see something I find beautiful, then I capture it. I really love looking at portraits other people do, but I try not to compare myself too much to other people because sometimes that can get me down. I particularly love the photographs of the French photographer Hélène Marie Pambrun. Her portraits are incredible.

What do you hope audiences retain from your work?

I really hope that audiences can get a sense of being there with either the subject of the portrait or at the location where a landscape is taken.
