Seeking the Creative: Justina Victoria Moran, Special Effects Artist & Painter
How would you describe your art in three words?
Therapy, Purpose, Bliss.
For Justina Victoria Moran, a canvas is not limited to a sheet of paper. The artist from Bay Area, San Francisco, began painting back in 2017, and through the years she grew an appreciation for diverse artistic outlets, ranging from photography to special effects makeup. She is able to completely transform her appearance to unrecognizable levels, using her skill with makeup to create looks only ever seen in cinema. Justina expresses herself through art, finding no constraints nor limits in how she chooses to do so. She acknowledges the freedom and peace of mind that engaging in art provides, and one day wishes to open her own studio that she herself can practice within, as well as have a space the public can use to do the same things.
Where/how do you gather inspiration?
Colors and texture give me inspiration. I love for everything to look dramatic and bold.
What do you hope audience retain from your work?
To explore the artist in you, whether it’s making shirts, photography, singing, painting, makeup, making floral bouquets, poetry, anything. Everyone is an artist you just have to explore yourself, and when you discover it, create your masterpiece.
